Infrared Beamsplitters
REO fabricates a wide array of beamsplitters in plate and cube configurations. We utilize our own adhesive-free Activated Covalent Bonding (ACB) technology to produce highly robust assemblies which demonstrate superior wavefront performance and high laser damage resistance. With consistent performance over a broad wavelength range, REO’s beamsplitters provide a unique solution for your most demanding infrared applications.

All cubes are contacted with our proprietary adhesive-free Activated Covalent Bonding process.
Activated Covalent Bonding
Activated Covalent Bonding (ACB) technology, REO’s proprietary adhesive-free method of bonding optical components, can be used to produce a wide array of monolithic visible and IR optical assemblies, such as cube beamsplitters, x-cubes, and beam combiners and separators. ACB delivers bond strength matching that of the bulk material, but unlike traditional gluing, introduces essentially no wavefront distortion, minimizes scatter and absorption. This bonding approach substantially improves component laser damage resistance and operational lifetime. It can also be used for applications at wavelengths where adhesives are not transmission.
Learn MoreCoating Facilities
REO houses 35 coating chambers to apply thin film coatings with various deposition methods such as Ion Beam Sputtering, Ion Assisted Deposition and Thermal Evaporation. All our coating chambers are located within an ISO Class 7 controlled cleanroom environment to minimize particulates and contaminates. As a result, our optics boast some of the lowest levels of absorption and highest levels of laser damage resistance.
