Apprenticeship Program
Together with the Front Range Community College, Colorado based optics and photonics manufacturing companies are forming an optics technician apprenticeship program and certification. This program combines on-the-job training and classroom learning to provide a solid foundation for a successful career in high tech manufacturing. The Front Range of Colorado has become a center for optical manufacturing and the demand for highly trained and skilled optical technicians continues to increase.
A career in optical manufacturing is both rewarding and interesting. Applications for optics continue to grow into new markets and technologies as researchers and scientists continue to discover new uses and manufacturing abilities develop. An apprenticeship in optics is a gateway to further technical and engineering education.
