Aspheric Optics

REO utilizes single point diamond turning to fabricate high accuracy aspheric, off-axis aspheric and toroidal mirrors and lenses from infrared materials including Si, Ge, ZnSe, ZnS, CaF₂, Al, Cu and Ni.  Every aspect of the asphere production process, from diamond tip preparation through final coating, is conducted using carefully controlled, leading-edge process technologies, enabling us to precisely maintain surface shape and accuracy.  Together with an extensive range of metrology techniques, including interferometry and profilometry, this allows us to consistently produce high damage threshold aspheres suitable for demanding infrared laser applications.
